Drainage

Drainage

Biotherapeutic Drainage in Homeopathy

We are constantly exposed to
stress, harmful substances, pollution, chemicals, poor nutrition, poor lifestyle choices etc. These are all examples of toxins that originate from without the body. The body too however, if not properly balanced, is capable of producing chemicals/ hormones that in excess the liver also has to deal with.

The body tries to rid itself of toxins and wastes in many ways. The main routes are via the liver, kidneys, intestines and lungs. However, when these routes are not functioning properly or are overburdened by too many toxins, the body tries to establish other pathways, emergency routes, to rid itself of accumulated toxins. These secondary routes are the skin, nasal sinuses and the vaginal tract for women. When the organs of elimination do not function properly, toxins build up in the body’s tissues. The accumulation of toxins can be a factor in the genesis or maintenance of acute and chronic illness and can create prevent resolution of disease states during the therapeutic process.

The medicines used in Drainage are at a very low dosage. Drainage medicines help the body detoxify at a cellular level by stimulating each cell to work more efficiently, especially with regard to eliminating waste effectively. That is why drainage is called drainage.

Drainage promotes the excretory functions of a particular organ or organ system through stimulating and supporting function of the organs of elimination.

Thus, drainage is not only utilised to help the body eliminate accumulated toxins, but also serves to stimulate the proper function of organs in order to improve the patient's overall health.
